It’s October! Halloween is fast approaching. As if this holiday isn’t filled with enough sugary treats, how about making this awesome spiderweb cheesecake for your Halloween party?
First you start with your favorite cheesecake recipe. This is the one I used. It’s a classic New York style cheesecake with a graham cracker crust and a sour cream topping to add a some tanginess. The topping makes the spiderweb part of this cheesecake even easier because you can drag the toothpicks through it and make a great design. The spiderweb design was inspired by Martha Stewart. Her full tutorial can be found here. I didn’t make the black frosting from scratch (gasp), but instead I used a tube of black sparkly decoraters frosting I found at the grocery store.
Happy almost- Halloween, everybody!
You nailed the spiderweb design 🙂
This post would make a great addition to Our Growing Edge, a monthly blog link up just for new food adventures. It’s a fun way to share your new food experiences with other foodies. This month’s theme is HALLOWEEN which includes sweet and spooky food, pumpkins or black and orange dishes.
